WHAT WE ARE, WHO WE ARE

Quite often we get messages of support from the unlikeliest of places. People who previously had nothing good to say about ZANU PF are encouraged by the principled positions we are taking regarding the state and future of our country. It is with this in mind that this summary of what we're about is offered...
We see ZANU PF UK as a progressive, dynamic, inclusive structure that derives its roots and perspective from the ideals of the liberation struggle, the ethos of our party, our values and principles. Pan African in outlook, we promote the ideals that shaped and continue to shape the struggles across Africa. We have a specific focus on the founding principles of  the rich in diversity land we now know as Zimbabwe.
The nature of our chapter requires that we interact with Zimbabweans from all regions as reflected within our membership and leadership. This unique feature allows us to look at issues in an objective and progressive manner that feeds into the good being done by ZANU PF Zimbabwe through various provinces. We seek the best for the North, East, West and South of the country. What better way is there to engage all those voices than an online platform?
When we say we are progressive, we mean just that. While we believe in and promote the founding values of the revolutionary party, we are not afraid to ask the difficult questions. We are not afraid to be asked those difficult questions by fellow patriots. We continue to bring MPs from both sides of the Zimbabwean political spectrum to account. Where praise is due, we freely give it. Where we see injustice, corruption and dereliction of duty we speak up. Our progressive nature means that there will be those that like us and there will be those that don't. Both sides will however agree that what we stand for is solid and based on principle.
For the past three years we have been resolute in discussing corruption and other ills that slow down our country's progression. Over the past few weeks there have been a lot of activity around suspending corrupt officials and launching investigations. Some have said why now, why not 10 years ago. We say it's never too late to do what is right.
Our online platform is a place to have drunk, open, sober discussions. The kind of discussion that not only highlight the bad marks in some of our social, cultural and economic practices but also bring out the good we all love to brag about. As in every grouping, there will be those that seek to disrupt rather than construct - sadly we have to give space to such people. As a Chapter of a governing party we are far more transparent than we get credit for. Interact with us, get to know us and with time join us.
We individually  don't have to agree with everyone or everything the gvt does, we however agree on the bigger picture. We have numerous discussions from cell level right up to the politburo, agreeing and disagreeing along the way. Naturally, we are more inclined to disagree more with the numerous MDCs out there. We will continue to pick holes in their policies especially those that refuse to acknowledge the historical injustices that continue to affect our continent. Where credit is due, we'll give it.
That BIG picture is what should bind, us not as just a party but as a nation.
